ITV Nepal, Nepal's only multilingual Indigenous community television channel, a sister television channel of Indigenous Television, advocates for, secures, and protects their human rights and fundamental freedoms, equally ensuring their protection, promotion, and defence. Launched on November 21, 2021, on the occasion of World Television Day, ITV Nepal today produces and broadcasts TV programmes in 20 different indigenous languages, ensuring Indigenous Peoples right to access information and communication in their languages. ITV Nepal is reaching out to indigenous nationalities and diverse linguistic groups living at the remote and grassroots level through Dish Home, the leading DTH (direct-to-home) service provider, and Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB-T2) both in satellite terrestrial technology, including over-the-top applications (mobile/OTT) and internet protocol television (IPTV) in Nepal.
